How much is that Happy Meal toy?

Did you get bit by the Happy Meal toy craze of the 1990s?

My daughter was the right age for some of the collections, I remember eating more Happy Meals for lunches than I really wanted to in order pick up the next toy in a series that she liked. I also have some of the Barbie figures from that time frame among my doll collection.

I am glad, however, that I collected the little toys to make us happy rather than for profit.

Here's my latest "fun with dolls" portrayal: a radio DJ Barbie. It's a redressed Fashionista Barbie, mix and match the latest fashions with pieces I already owned.

One of my radio friends suggested I get a GI Joe headphone set when I couldn't find one that had been made for Barbie. Brilliant!
